From Downtown San Diego, Balboa Park & Mission Valley

  1. Take CA-163 North to I-15 North.

  2. Stay on I-15 North for about 40 miles, past Escondido.

  3. Take exit 41 for Gopher Canyon Road and head west.

  4. Follow Gopher Canyon Road about 7 miles to Elevado Road.

COASTAL ROUTE

From La Jolla, Del Mar & the Coast

  1. Take I-5 North along the coast.

  2. Head inland toward Vista on the route your map app suggests.
