A decisious or semi-evergreen shrub, the Cherimoya produces a highly sweet fruit that was dubbed by Mark Twain as “the most delicious fruit known to men.” Also a favorite of the Moche culture of Peru, Cherimoya fruit is reflected in a notable amount of their artwork.

Dr. White

Among the hardiest variety, the Dr. White Cherimoya tree can grow 20 to 30 feet in height, and performs well in most growing areas. Its fruit is smaller and has more seeds than comparative varieties, and it has a very sweet flavor similar to that of a Papaya.
