WHY IT’S WORTH THE DRIVE

Why Beverly Hills Clients Make the Drive

A two-hour drive buys you a tree that would take decades to grow from a sapling.

HERITAGE

Decades of Growing Behind Every Specimen

We are Southern California’s oldest fruit tree nursery. Our growers know which trees will impress in a Beverly Hills garden.

40 YEARS

Specimen Trees for an Instant Landscape

Our mature trees reach up to 40 years old. They anchor a courtyard or garden the day they are planted.

RARE

Varieties You Won’t Find on the Westside

Lychee, jaboticaba, wax jambu and white sapote are hard to source in Los Angeles. We grow them in volume.

ONE TRIP

Outfit an Entire Property at Once

Hand-pick every tree in person. Our team loads your truck so one trip can stock a whole garden.

FEATURED TREES

Fruit Trees Beverly Hills Gardens Are Built Around

These six groups suit Beverly Hills estate gardens especially well.

Each card lists named varieties we grow in our Vista yard.

Availability changes often. Check our inventory or call 760-434-5085 before you make the drive.

AVOCADO

Hass, Reed and Lamb Hass Avocados

A mature avocado gives a Beverly Hills yard instant shade and a real harvest. Hass brings the classic buttery fruit. Reed grows large, round fruit with smooth green skin. Lamb Hass stays more upright, which suits narrower side yards in the Flats.

In our yard: Hass, Fuerte, Reed, Lamb Hass, Mexicola

CITRUS

Blood Oranges, Cara Cara and Meyer Lemon

Citrus is the backbone of most estate kitchen gardens we help plan. Moro and Sanguinelli blood oranges add deep red juice for cocktails and desserts. Cara Cara navels are pink inside and very sweet. Meyer lemon is the chef favorite.

In our yard: Moro Blood, Sanguinelli Blood, Cara Cara, Washington Navel, Meyer Lemon

MANGO

Manila and Corriente Mango Trees

A fruiting mango makes guests stop and look. Our Manila mango has slender, honey-sweet fruit with very little fiber. Plant it against a south-facing wall in the Flats for extra warmth.

In our yard: Manila (Philippine), Corriente (limited supply)

CHERIMOYA

Booth and Dr. White Cherimoya

Cherimoya tastes like pineapple, banana and vanilla custard at once. It enjoys the mild Westside marine layer and makes a striking courtyard tree. Hand pollination in early summer helps it set a heavier crop.

In our yard: Booth, Dr. White

ESPALIER

Espalier Fuji and Anna Apples

Formal gardens love espalier fruit trained flat against a wall or fence. Our Espalier Fuji and Espalier Anna arrive already shaped into clean tiers. Anna is a low-chill apple, so it fruits reliably in Beverly Hills winters.

In our yard: Espalier Anna, Espalier Fuji, Pink Lady, Beverly Hills apple

FIG

Black Mission, Panache and Peters Honey Figs

Figs handle heat, poor soil and drought better than most fruit trees. Panache is the striped tiger fig with red flesh. It always starts a conversation. Peters Honey gives pale green, very sweet fruit through late summer.

In our yard: Black Mission, Excel, Long Verde, Panache, Pasquale, Tena, Peters Honey

SIZES & BUYING

What Beverly Hills Clients Should Know Before the Drive

Most estate projects need trees that look finished on day one. Here is how sizing and pickup work.

CONTAINER SIZES

From 15 Gallon to 100 Gallon Specimens

Most trees start at 15 gallon. Larger stock comes in 25 gallon, 45 gallon and 65 gallon.

We also grow 20, 24 and 30 inch boxes. A few very large specimens sit in 100 gallon containers.

FRUIT TIMING

Many Trees Already Bear Fruit

Many of our trees are already at fruiting age when you buy them.

Younger trees usually fruit two to three years after planting. Year one is for roots.

HAULING

Bring a Truck, Trailer or Your Landscaper

We do not ship trees. Our crew loads every tree into your vehicle or trailer.

Beverly Hills clients can also send their landscape contractor with a flatbed.

RESERVING

Hold a Tree Before You Leave the Westside

We can sometimes reserve trees by phone with full payment.

Call 760-434-5085 first, since citrus and box sizes often run in limited supply.

OUR FRUIT TREES

Every Fruit Tree We Grow for Beverly Hills Gardens

Estate projects often start with our largest avocado, citrus and mango specimens.

Every name below links to sizes and growing notes for that variety.

Tropical & Subtropical Fruit Trees

The showpieces of a Beverly Hills garden. Mango and cherimoya love sheltered spots in the Flats.

Classic & Stone Fruit Trees

Persimmon and pomegranate add fall color to hillside lots above Sunset.

Citrus Trees

Large Meyer lemons and mandarins in containers suit motor courts and terraces.

Berries & Vines

Mulberry and grapes cover a pergola or garden wall quickly.

Flowering Trees

Plumeria and bird of paradise add resort-style color by the pool.

Spices, Palms & More

Bay leaf and allspice make a fragrant kitchen-garden border.

FAQ

Beverly Hills Fruit Tree FAQs

Where can I buy specimen fruit trees near Beverly Hills?

Our Vista nursery grows mature fruit trees up to 40 years old. It sits about two hours south of Beverly Hills.

How long is the drive from Beverly Hills to Vista?

Plan on about two hours for roughly 107 miles. Leaving early avoids most 405 and I-5 traffic.

Can my landscape designer pick the trees for me?

Yes. Designers are welcome to walk our rows and tag trees for their clients.

Do you deliver specimen trees to Beverly Hills?

We do not deliver. Your landscaper or a hired hauler can collect the trees, and we help load them.

Which fruit trees suit a Beverly Hills courtyard?

Container citrus, kumquat and jaboticaba look polished in courtyards. They stay a manageable size in large pots.

Will a 40-year-old tree survive transplanting?

Our trees are container-grown, so their roots stay intact. That makes the move far easier than digging a field tree.

Do you offer pricing for multi-tree estate projects?

Ask us about current discounts on larger orders. We often help estates plant a full orchard at once.

What should I bring when I visit?

Bring photos and measurements of the planting areas. Wear shoes for walking dirt rows.
