Atemoya

A hybrid of two fruits, the cherimoya, and the sugar apple, the atemoya is known as the pineapple sugar apple and is native to the American tropics.

Normally heart shaped, this fruit has a very juicy, smooth, white flesh which tastes slightly sweet and a little tart — similar to a piña colada. When ripe, the fruit can be scooped out of the shell and eaten chilled.
